To neutralize the effect of high blood pressure on your organs, to refresh your nervous system are compulsory for a hypertensive, in order to have a normal life.

The neutralization of the effect of high blood pressure on the organs and the refreshment of the nervous system are not only necessary, but also extremely benefic for hypertensives. These goals can be achieved by means of yoga exercises, also known as asanas that proved their efficiency in time and in almost all of the cases.

From the extremely large variety of existing asanas, there are four classes that can be used in the battle against hypertension: forward bends, suspine, inversions and sitting.

The most effective with high blood pressure are considered to be the forward bends, which have various methods to lower blood pressure when it is alarmingly high. Their power to calm the brain and to bring back to the normal standard blood flow to the brain and from it, their stress-reducing effect makes this class of asanas the most popular against hypertension.

The deceleration of the pulse, the regulation of the heart beats, the relaxation of the organs with key-functions in sensitivity and of the sympathetic nervous symptoms are also very frequent effects of forward bends on the patients.

Suspine poses, such as Supta Baddhakonasana concentrate on the relaxation of the abdominal area and induce a state of calm and serenity of the nervous system.

Very effective were proved to be the inversion exercises, which restore the lost vitality of the nerves, control and normalize the pulmonary activity and that of the diaphragm. This multiple benefits contribute to the lowering of blood pressure. Such inversion asanas are Viparita Karanti and Halasana, but the automatic nervous system is also kept under control by means of the pranayama and Svanasana, which manage both to refresh the mind and senses and to contra attack hypertension’s effects.

Sitting asanas are the last, but not less important category, because they mange to solve one of the greatest problems of hypertension: breathing. The intercostal muscles and the ribs themselves are also relaxed and released, so the blood pressure lowers. Such asanas are the Virasana and Baddhakonasana.

Dysmenorrhea is a difficult word but many women routinely undergo it. The condition refers to the pain or discomfort associated with menstruation, although not a serious medical problem.

Decoding dysmenorrhea

Contractions of the uterus cause menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea). It Is believed that hormones called prostaglandins cause painful cramping of the uterus during menstruation. The production of prostaglandins in the uterus is stimulated by the hormone progesterone, which is made by the ovary after ovulation has occurred. These prostaglandins can affect other organs as well. Frequently, back pain, headaches, nausea and vomiting, dizziness, or diarrhea accompany menstrual cramps. These symptoms may begin a day or so before the menstrual flow begins; they usually peak by the second day of flow.

Risk Factors Early onset of puberty .

A family history of painful periods

Use of an intrauterine device When men strual cramps become abnormal In young girls painful periods rarely Indicates any kind of disorder. However, there are exceptions to this guide

Conditions such as endometriosis can sometimes cause severe pain from an early age.

Other causes of severe period pain include fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease and sometimes narrowing of the cervix.

Tossing pain away

Menstrual cramps act as an irritant In our lives. Most of the times over-the-counter pain relievers such as-ibuprofen help to reduce the severity of cramps, as they inhibit release of prostaglandins. Acetaminophen too helps with the pain but does not have the effect on the prostagladins.
Regular physical activity often reduces cramping in some women.
Natural progesterone may help reduce the symptoms that are causing menstrual cramps.
Supplementing your diet with zinc and calcium has been found to reduce cramps, bloating, and related PMS symptoms. Heat in the form of a warm bath or a heating pad applied to the lower abdomen, can be very helpful. Staying active, exercising regularly and eating nutritious diet help ease the pain away.

Much has been said and written about smoking as a dangerous health problem. Each and every person who smokes is aware of the fact that their habit could hasten them towards death. Smoking is known to be one of the carcinogenic factors, and could lead to a wide variety of cancers including lung cancer and oral cancer. Smoking also causes various breathing and respiratory problems.

But despite knowing all this, people are reluctant to give up smoking. The main attraction of smoking is the tobacco smoke, which is an addictive. In addition, tobacco smoke also contains nicotine, which is deadly poisonous to human beings in its pure form. Tar is another harmful ingredient. This can clog the lungs over time.

Many smokers have intentions to give up smoking, but cannot go about it in the right way. The main reason behind their inability to give up smoking is its addiction. Of course, a person wishing to give up smoking must have a steely determination to do so. But many a time that is not enough. The body may react violently to the sudden giving up of smoking. For this reason, it is necessary to fortify the body also.

In Ayurveda, there are some good techniques in which the body can be trained to cope up with the reduced smoking habits. This article tries to list some of the better Ayurvedic techniques in helping smokers in their quest of giving up smoking.

Dietary Methods to Stop Smoking

By changing your dietary lifestyle, you can make an effort to quit smoking. The following guidelines can be followed:-

- Do not consume more of acidic foods. Increase the quantity of alkaline foods in the diet. This changes the food preferences of the taste buds and helps them to adapt themselves to the de-addiction. Foods such as raisins, beets, lima beans, dandelion, etc. are very good for people who are giving up smoking.

- Have a good amount of vitamin C intake. This increases the hormones that help the body strengthen. Have a glass of orange juice or grapefruit juice twice daily.

- Sweet foods also help a bit to reduce the urge for smoking. Honey must be liberally used in the diet in different forms.

- Keep your food well supplemented with sources of proteins, amino acids and all the different kinds of vitamins.

- Have a glassful of water with a teaspoon of baking soda in it with every meal. This not only helps to digest the meal properly, but it also helps to reduce the urge for smoking after the meal.

Home Remedies to Quit Smoking

- Whenever you feel the urge of smoking, eat something salty, or lick a little salt with the tip of your tongue. Your craving will go away. If you do this every time you feel like smoking, you will be totally cured of the addiction.

- Grate some radish, strain it and extract its juice. Mix some honey in it. Have this juice twice a day. This is a good remedy for raising the body’s tenacity against smoking.

- Licorice sticks have a placebo effect on smokers. Smokers like to have something in their mouths. So, some experts suggest them to chomp on licorice sticks. These are safe substitutes for the cigarettes. Putting some chocolates in the mouth also help to reduce the urge of smoking. But excessive chocolates are dangerous to health in other respects.

- Chew on sugarcane stubs as a substitute for cigarettes. Sugarcane stubs are very harmless, and their sweet taste helps to reduce the urge for smoking.

- Aromatic oils and fragrances are very good for smokers. A massage with aromatherapy oils can really go a long way in curbing the smokers’ urges.

- When there is nothing around, experts also suggest a certain breathing therapy to stop the craving for cigarettes. When you have an urge, sit down in a calm place. Take ten slow and deep breaths. By doing so, you are stimulating your respiratory system. This will slowly help your urge for smoking to subside.

- Foreign herbs such as valerian, chamomile, hops, skullcap, lobelia and peppermint are also very beneficial in suppressing the urge for smoking.

Choosing the right lubricant for Penis enlargement takes a deep toll to men’s genitals. It takes a lot of constraining activities in order to achieve the proper process of enlarging their penises. Some of them are required of sitting down while others do the standing position, although the results were fairly equal. Men’s with dry skins needs the appropriate lubricant to prevent their skins from serious injuries. Most of the methods of penis enlargement like the Double Hand, the Slider Blaster and the Jelq necessitate lubricants.

The use of lubricants like gel and oil is essential; it allows the hand to slide smoothly around the penis shaft which prevents it from reaching its breaking point. However the frequent hand gliding pushes the oil away form the penis and leaves it moistureless. Lubrication is used generally to protect the male organ from skin cell damage, blood clots that may cause the penis to loose its elasticity. The comfort of aiding enlargement with lubricants is it decreases friction around the penis and increases the mobility of the hand the result is the exercise is performed easier and faster.

Furthermore, lubrication minimizes the soreness of the skin. Less soreness means faster healing and less of the burning sensation after the workout session. The preferred type of lubrication may vary to the man’s preference. These may differ from its thickness, cost and fragrance are some of the considerations on purchasing such products.

Basic home products such as baby oils, creams, gels are still in use today however the messy lubes has a downside during the cleanup. These products are bought directly over the store counters and groceries worldwide, although the usage and result is basically the same. Making the right choice of lube makes an essential protection to men’s skin. The use of appropriate lube keeps the skin hydrated during the workout and it helps protect the male genitals from inflicting injuries.

If you don’t want a trip a doctor for some prescription, there is always an alternative way of acquiring lubes. The most common is the baby oil or the gel version; one exact example is the Vaseline Cream. It is much better if you’ll try both so you can test the better product of your preference. Lube products are not limited to oil and Vaseline alone, try using other products and experiment which is the best that suites your penis enlargement.

Breasts are body tissues, which can be effectively self-massaged or massaged by someone else. At some time or the other, most women experience physical and psychological trauma related to breast congestion, breast pain, discomforts of surgical procedures, and anxieties about changes in their breast tissues.

The fact that breasts are strongly associated with sexual touching and attractiveness, does not rule out the fact that they should not receive physical care. Breast care is an important area of health that is often neglected, due to the stigmas surrounding the treatment of this part of the body.

The breast tissue contains an abundance of lymph vessels. Unlike other areas of the body, the breast lacks sources of external compression, such as muscles or strong overlying frontal part that promotes natural lymphatic drainage. As a result, fluid has a tendency to stagnate, which may lead to breast problems. This is where gentle, non-stimulating massage techniques can be used to aid fluid recirculation.
Massage therapy is an effective non-invasive treatment for breasts, as they also require need good circulation and tissue mobilization for optimum health. It is at times believed that there may be a correlation between chronic poor breast drainage and susceptibility to cancer. Massage techniques is one of the most effective ways for addressing such problems and promoting breast health.

Advantages of breast massage:

# Breast massage is a concept used by women since centuries. It is a simple process, which can be done in the privacy of home. Secondly, it is an easy process and doesn’t take more than a few moments to accomplish.

# The breast is made up of tissue and adipose fat. A firm and proper massage helps tone these tissues and firms them up. This gives the breasts a healthier and more natural look.

# Breast massage help create a beautiful bust line by helping to shape and tone it, thus increasing its overall attractiveness.

# It helps one be aware of any fibrous areas of possible indications of breast cancer.

# It helps flush out high toxin materials from the breast, bring nutrition to the tissues and specifically remove the toxins via the lymphatic system.

# It gives women a feeling of their femininity, and promotes relaxation and peace of mind, as massage of other body parts does.

# Breast massage helps correct sagging, droopiness and other features, which are considered unattractive.

# Breast massage helps enhance the health and elasticity of the support ligaments, which in turn provides better breast support.

How to do breast massage?

Women’s breasts vary considerably in texture and sensitivity to pressure. Hence, gentle strokes for those who are sensitive or have softer breasts. Moderate pressure may be more effective for those with firmer-textured breasts. A lotion or massaging oil can also help avoid friction, and lessen sensitivity.
Gentle-to-moderate kneading, rubbing, and squeezing strokes with the hands are enough to encourage increased lymph and blood flow to the breast. The breast can be kneaded and squeezed by contracting the palm and fingers of the hand.

1. To drain the lymph fluid from the breast, a common massage stroke is a gentle radial outward stroke from the nipple to the outer edge of the breast. This is done by applying light pressure starting from the centre of the breast and making several strokes outwards from the nipple.

2. Hold your breast. But, instead of squeezing it out, give it a twirling kind of motion. Rotate your hands (and thus the breast) in a clockwise motion, followed by an equal anticlockwise motion. Continue this for about ten times.

3. Open out your palms on the breast such that are facing downwards. Then move your palms downwards so that the fingers rub against the side surfaces of the breast. This should be avoided on the nipple, as it may spoil its shape.

A gradual feeling of warmth in the massaged area indicates increased blood flow to massaged areas.
To gain maximum benefit and therapeutic effects, breast massage should be practiced daily, as part of a routine – perhaps when fresh out of the shower, since the skin is still somewhat moist. Massage can also be done several times a day, depending on requirement and schedule.

Precautions:

Breast massage is a very simple process that can be done by the individual. However, it must be done with the utmost care. Improper breast massage can actually boomerang, like damaging of the glandular tissues that hold your breasts upright.

Lymph drainage therapy for breast care:

Lymph drainage therapy (LDT) is a gentle, non-stimulating technique with few contraindications. LDT is particularly effective for treating breast tissue because it involves extremely light pressure. Mastopathies respond well to lymphatic breast care.

Breast problems, which benefit from LDT include:

# Menstruation related problems – breast pain and swollen breasts.

# Pregnancy and breast-feeding problems – engorgement due to massive breast edema, sore nipples, inflammation/infection, plugged ducts or nipple pores, fissures, dermatitis and stretch marks.

# Chronic non-malignant lumps –

# Breast implant complications

# Cosmetic concerns such as surgery and trauma recovery; scarring.
It is time for efficient breast care to be brought into the realm of accepted practice. Armed with proper knowledge and a clear understanding of our limits, we can eliminate the controversy and stigma surrounding this necessary therapeutic application

Hair growth patterns in humans depend upon the interaction of natural cycles of hair growth and hair loss. The hair growth cycles follow a structured process that has 3 phases. These 3 phases are – anagen (the growth phase), catagen (the transitional phase) and telogen (The resting Phase). The hair is actively growing only in the anagen phase where it increases in length by about 1 cm in every 28 days. Hair loss occurs when the hair is in the resting phase. Most hairs in the resting phase lie in the skin separated from the dermal papilla at its base. Since the hair is not held tightly at its root, it is prone to shedding at any point.

The entire hair growth cycle is under the influence of hormones and their metabolic products.

Dihydrotestosterone is the most important metabolite that plays the major role in retarding the hair growth and affecting hair loss. Accumulation of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) within the hair follicle is considered to be the main cause of hair loss.

The DHT mediates the hair loss through its direct action on the androgenic receptors in human scalp tissue. It interrupts the normal physiologic environment and function of the hair follicles. Faster hair growth in both men and women is possible if action of DHT is blocked.

The organic extracts of some of the herbal formulations act at the level of the androgenic receptors of the scalp. These extracts contain substances which directly compete with DHT with its action. They act as a natural androgenic blocker by inhibiting the active binding of DHT to the hair follicle receptors. When this binding is inhibited the amount of follicle damage is automatically reverted and follicles respond by affecting quick hair growth.

There are many natural herbs which have known to act as DHT antagonists. The use of herbs and herbal products has become broadly accepted in the contemporary culture for their unique potential to induce rapid hair growth.

Women have increased hair loss after the menopause. That is also because of increased production of DHT. Herbal supplements and herbal formulas used in hair growth products induce a quick hair growth in women.

The herbal hair growth supplements have found widespread acceptance as remedies for inducing faster hair growth. There are many good reasons to consider herbal hair growth supplements as the best form of treatment for hair related problems. The best reason may be the fact that herbs and herbal products have shown to provide quick hair growth benefits while maintaining a remarkable safety profile.

Equal parts of wild yam root, licorice, motherwort, black cohosh, chamomile, valerian root and skullcap can be taken as safe herbal supplements for hair loss due to loss of estrogen production. Estrogen is known to offer protection over the deleterious affects of DHT. All these herbs are known to simulate estrogen in women to result in rapid hair growth.

Dong Quai with other herbs if taken as herbal tea can serve as a special medication for faster hair growth in females. The medication is quite effective for maintaining the hair growth potential by regulating female hormone and hair growth cycles in pre-menstrual women.

When I asked him about the harsh antidepressant that I’d been put on, my psychiatrist told me that there was no natural remedy for depression. He said that natural remedies for depression were fiction. They were created by ruthless con artists to make money off of people at the expense of their health. I had been inclined to believe him, because he had already treated several of my relatives. He was well known in his fields as an excellent psychiatrist. Nonetheless, I couldn’t quite believe that there were no natural remedies for depression. I decided to look into it myself.

It turns out that he was right and he was wrong. Perhaps antidepressant medications provided the most effective means of treating depression, however there were naturopathic remedies available. There was St. John’s wort, of course, as well as 5-HTP. Both of these could act as mood enhancers, but neither of them were tightly controlled by the FDA to ensure safety, or as strong as the traditional antidepressants. Herbal remedies for depression seemed to be a dead end, however I did find out some interesting things.

Apparently, how well you eat can have a profound influence on depression. Many of the books of natural depression remedies recommended eating a good diet, low on red meat and high in omega-3 fatty acid containing fish. Apparently, getting enough fatty acid and vitamins was one of the best natural remedies for depression. It wasn’t guaranteed to work all of the time, and some people need antidepressants. Nonetheless, it seemed like a safer place to start.

Of course, of all of the natural remedies for depression that I came across, the best one was meditation. This may seem strange to you, since meditation is basically just sitting around and concentrating. Don’t we do that every day anyway? Meditation is different because it allows you to clear the mind. When you meditate, you learn to let go of things that are bothering you. These can include chronic worries, neurotic modes of thought, and the depression itself. Although it is one of the most difficult natural remedies for depression, it is also one of the most effective. Therapy has helped me, but meditation has helped me even more. If you are trying out natural remedies for depression, you should definitely not pass it up. It requires no drugs or supplements, it’s free, and it is one of the most rewarding experiences you could have.

Dentistry and the art of drilling perfect holes into live but unhappy patients happened between 7000 BC and 5500BC, Neolithic times, long before anesthesia was discovered. It comes as a surprise that with such a long association with mankind, dentistry still remains neglected. A beautiful smile lights up a face and a perfect set of teeth, helps you achieve that. Yet, dental decay rivals common cold. We lack terribly when it comes to maintaining oral health. Researches say that one in four people suffer from bad breath regularly, while gum diseases affect most of us at some point in our lives. Our visits to dentists happen when the terrible toothache ordains us to do so. Nature has endowed us with 32 teeth. Our mouth is a busy place. Bacteria-tiny colonies of living organisms are constantly on the move on our teeth, gums, lips and tongue. Daily brushing fails to scrape them off.

For a healthy teeth

1. Eat whole grains daily, such as brown rice, oatmeal and whole wheat bread instead of refined grains, such as white bread and rice.

2. Eat healthier vegetables, including dark green and orange vegetables.

3. Eat a variety of fruits.

4. If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so in moderation.

5. Aim for a healthy weight and be physically active each day.

6. Firm fruits like apples and pears and “vegetables are the second best options. They do have natural sugars, but their high water content dilutes the effects of the sugar.

7. Avoid sipping on soft drinks, or any other sugar-containing drinks, like tea or coffee through out the day.

8. Arresting tooth decay.

9. Limit your between meal snacking.

10. Very acidic foods may contribute to tooth demineralisation and erosion of your teeth.

11. Brush your teeth after meals or at least twice a day. Remember to floss once a day.

12. Chewing sugarless gum that contains xylitol can help reduce the risk of cavities.

13. Quit cigarettes and use of tobacco in all forms.

Having a charming smile is within your reach. It needs some effort and we all can spare that for a smile that wins hearts
